FAQs

Its flexible! Here’s a scenario:

Your company doesn’t need or does not have the budget to commit to a full-time employee to look after your programmes and planning? However leaving the programme to the overworked Project Manager is causing headaches, because there isn’t enough time, and it’s not their specialist area. Or perhaps your existing planner isn’t too familiar with NEC3/4? Your client is concerned that you’re not ‘on top of the programme’ and… aargh they’re right!

Our services are designed to offer help on as limited a basis as you require, even if its just resolving a particular problem. If you need full time help, we’ll advise on how and where to find it, and what to look for in your permanent resource. We are not an agency, so the advice is unbiased and focused on you, your requirements and your budget.

Much discussion on this one at present, with new changes coming into force from 6 April 2021. However there is no need to be concerned when engaging Technical Voice Ltd.

Here’s the first thing: If you are a small company as defined by HMRC, your obligations as an end user client under IR35 are not applicable. Your company is ‘small’ if it has any 2 of the following:

  • a turnover of £10.2 million or less
  • £5.1 million or less on its balance sheet
  • 50 employees or less

For all other clients it’s simple. You engage Technical Voice Ltd under a clearly defined fixed price contract (we can raise this), with provisions for any change in scope. The contract will carry a Statement of Work (SoW) which defines the key deliverables and milestones to be reached for payment. Technical Voice Ltd have all the means to deliver your work, including a current Oracle Primavera P6 Professional licence. I transfer the outturn deliverables to you, and you take it from there.

Technical Voice Ltd does not exist to replace work that needs to be done by employees, we are here to supply expert help and support to your company only when needed.

Call to discuss, there is no obligation in having a chat, and that may be all you require. It may be that getting your project back on course requires a bigger commitment up front to get you over a hill, then perhaps ongoing ad-hoc support. I can recommend how to proceed to suit your budget. Its quite likely that the first task will be to take a look at your contract, liaise with your commercial team, then proceed from there.

Or alternatively, engage Technical Voice Ltd at bid stage or the outset of the project, and make life easier!
